An Introduction to Community Development Theory

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

1. Explain key concepts, theories, and principles of community development and their relevance to social change.
2. Identify major community development approaches, models, and frameworks used in different contexts.
3. Analyze the roles of participation, empowerment, and local leadership in community development processes.
4. Understand how communities assess needs, mobilize resources, and develop collective solutions to social challenges.
