Chinbridge PowerSkills and Vocational Training Scholarship

Chinbridge College

The Chinbridge PowerSkills Scholarship provides partial or full scholarships covering training fees only for individuals who wish to acquire practical, employment-oriented, and income-generating skills but face financial barriers to accessing training.


The scholarship is designed to help young people and adults develop relevant skills that can improve their employability, support self-employment, generate income, and strengthen the resilience of individuals, families, and communities.


Scholarships may cover either the full or a portion of the approved training fee, depending on the applicant's circumstances and available funding. The scholarship does not cover transportation, accommodation, meals, learning materials, equipment, examination fees, or other personal expenses unless specifically stated for a particular training programme.

Call for Applications: Faculty Research Grant (for Chinbridge Staff)

Chinbridge College

Chinbridge College invites applications from its faculty and teaching staff for the Faculty Research Grant, designed to support original, high-quality research that contributes to academic knowledge, professional practice, institutional development, and the wider community.


The grant provides financial support for faculty members who wish to undertake independent or collaborative research and disseminate their findings through a research paper, academic publication, conference presentation, policy brief, or other appropriate scholarly output.


Grant Amount

Successful applicants may receive a research grant of:

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 MMK


The final grant amount will be determined based on the scope, quality, feasibility, and potential contribution of the proposed research.


Areas of Research

Proposals may address a broad range of academic, professional, social, and community-relevant issues, including but not limited to:

  1. Education and higher education
  2. Social and economic development
  3. Governance, democracy, and public policy
  4. Human rights and social justice
  5. Gender equality and inclusion
  6. Community development
  7. Digital transformation and technology
  8. Teaching, learning, and educational innovation
  9. Institutional governance and quality assurance
  10. Research related to the applicant's academic discipline or professional field
  11. Other issues with significant academic or community relevance


Interdisciplinary and collaborative research involving faculty from different academic disciplines is particularly encouraged.

Mini-research Grant

Chinbridge College

The Chinbridge Institute (Centre for Research and Social Studies) is pleased to announce the Mini-Grant for Research on Education in Chin State.


This research grant supports studies on issues affecting education in Chin State, including but not limited to:


1. Diversity and equitable access to education

2. Gender equality and LGBTQI+ inclusion

3. Students' and teachers' rights

4. Inclusive education

5. Education governance and policy

6. Other community-relevant issues within educational settings


The mini-grant aims to strengthen the research capacity of university students and early-career researchers while promoting high-quality, evidence-based research that contributes to improving education in Chin State.


Research Period


Successful applicants will conduct independent research and submit a research paper of at least 5,000 words on or before 15 December 2026.

Chinbridge College invites applications for its University Student Scholarship to support students who are currently pursuing higher education in Myanmar and face financial barriers to continuing their studies.


The scholarship is designed to help students remain enrolled, complete their academic programs, and strengthen their opportunities for future employment, leadership, and community contribution.


Scholarship Support

Depending on available funding and the applicant's circumstances, scholarship support may contribute toward:

  • Tuition and academic fees


The amount and duration of support will be determined on a case-by-case basis according to available resources, demonstrated need, academic circumstances, and the scholarship fund's priorities.

Chinbridge College

The Chinbridge Continued Professional Development (CPD) Grant supports staff members in strengthening their professional knowledge, skills, and career development through relevant training and learning opportunities.


The grant may support professional certifications, short courses, workshops, conferences, academic courses, specialized training, and other recognized professional development activities that contribute to staff performance and institutional development.


Who Can Apply?


Both full-time and part-time staff of Chinbridge College are eligible to apply.


Priority may be given to professional development activities that:


  • Strengthen skills relevant to the staff member’s current role;
  • Support career progression and professional growth;
  • Improve teaching, research, management, or administrative capacity;
  • Contribute to the quality and development of Chinbridge College; and
  • Provide opportunities to share acquired knowledge and skills with colleagues.


Staff members are encouraged to identify professional development opportunities that align with their responsibilities, career goals, and the strategic priorities of Chinbridge College.

U.S. Embassy in Burma (American Center Yangon)

The American Center Yangon (ACY) Small Grants Competition 2026 provides funding of $5,000 to $20,000 for innovative projects in Myanmar. Projects must advance U.S. mission priorities and may include scientific research, surveys, civic education, and community development initiatives. The grant period is expected to be 12 months. Total available funding is $100,000. Deadline was extended to August 10, 2026.

Bachelor of Arts in Social and Development Studies The Bachelor of Arts in Social and Development Studies (BASDS) is an interdisciplinary program designed to equip students with broad knowledge, practical skills, and critical perspectives to understand and respond to contemporary social, economic, organizational, and technological challenges. The program encompasses four complementary streams: Business and Finance; Organizational Development and Community Development; Social Sciences and Humanities; and Information Technology, enabling students to develop a multidisciplinary understanding of society and development. A defining feature of the BASDS is its emphasis on learning through practice and real-world engagement. Students undertake Service Learning, Community Development Projects, Field Visits, and a three-month internship with NGOs and civil society organizations, gaining firsthand experience in professional and community settings. The program culminates in a research thesis, enabling students to investigate issues relevant to their communities and wider society. Through this combination of interdisciplinary study and experiential learning, the BASDS develops graduates with strong research, communication, leadership, problem-solving, project management, and community engagement skills. It prepares students for careers in development organizations, NGOs, civil society, business, education, research, technology, and public and private institutions, while providing a strong foundation for postgraduate study.

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a three-year undergraduate programme designed to equip learners with the knowledge, practical skills, analytical capabilities, and professional competencies required for effective management and leadership in contemporary organizations. The programme combines academic and research skills with core business disciplines, including the business and economic environment, quantitative methods, financial accounting, management accounting, financial management, financial reporting, financial planning and control, human resource management, leadership and team management, business strategy, corporate and business law, business performance measurement, financial securities markets, audit and assurance, investment and risk management, social entrepreneurship, business start-ups, and a business research project. A distinctive feature of the programme is its integration of digital business and information technology, enabling students to apply technology and data to real-world business challenges through modules such as Digital Marketing, Sales Techniques and Business Processes, Marketing Automation and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) using platforms such as Odoo, website development using WordPress, low-code application and digital design development using Canva, and Data Visualization and Business Analytics using Tableau and Microsoft Power BI.
